On arrival, you’ll enter through a privately gated entrance to the magnificent 6,000 sq. ft. property, where a sense of space, privacy, and exclusivity sets the tone for your stay. As you make your way across the expansive lower terrace, the inviting hot tub catches your eye—the perfect place to unwind after a long journey.
Inside, the stunning lower lobby welcomes you with its generous space and elegant seating area, setting the scene for the luxury that awaits. A separate shower room and a fully equipped utility room ensure every comfort has been considered.
And of course, we haven’t forgotten your four-legged friends. Reservoir View is proudly dog-friendly, with plenty of space inside and out for them to explore and enjoy alongside you.
Make your way upstairs, where a spacious landing leads into the open-plan living areas. Before stepping inside, pause for a moment on the upper terrace and take in the breathtaking panoramic views stretching across Cheddar Reservoir and the Somerset Levels—a spectacular sight in every season.
The open-plan dining and entertaining space seamlessly blends elegant style with vibrant colours that brings the outdoors in. A beautiful ochre curved sofa, complemented by matching chairs and stylish side tables, creates a welcoming and sophisticated setting for socialising, relaxation, and taking in the stunning vistas over the reservoir.
A feature fireplace separates the formal dining area from the oversized snug, where you’ll find sumptuous sofas and a 65-inch Sky Glass TV—the perfect spot to put your feet up and enjoy a movie. For those who prefer a little friendly competition, a selection of board games is available, offering hours of entertainment for guests of all ages. The large windows frame stunning views of the dramatic cliff face, where you might even catch a glimpse of the free-roaming Cheddar Gorge goats exploring their rugged surroundings.
The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare and enjoy meals in style, featuring top-of-the-range Neff appliances, including two ovens, a warming drawer, a microwave oven, two dishwashers, and an American-style fridge freezer with an ice maker. There’s also a separate wine cooler and an instant boiling tap for ultimate convenience.
To make your stay even more special, we provide a thoughtfully curated welcome hamper, filled with local treats for you to enjoy on arrival. And because we know that four-legged guests are just as much a part of the family, we’ve included a little something for them too!
Additional seating at the breakfast bar makes for a relaxed space to enjoy morning coffee or pre-dinner cocktails, and for dining, guests have the choice of a large 10-seater table in the kitchen for casual meals or an impressive 12-seater dining table in the living area—perfect for formal occasions and special celebrations.
Beyond the kitchen, a separate games room provides entertainment for all ages, making Reservoir View a place to gather, unwind, and create unforgettable memories.
A true highlight of Reservoir View, our four super-king bedrooms have been individually designed to reflect the beauty of the local surroundings while embracing bold colours, luxurious furnishings, and a touch of playful quirkiness. Three of the four bedrooms feature en-suite bathrooms, ensuring comfort as well as style, whilst the twin room has a separate bathroom. All bathrooms have toiletries by Goats of the Gorge. Each space has its own distinctive character based on the Somerset wildlife, creating an unforgettable stay that blends indulgence with personality.
To the outside of the property there is a lower and upper terrace, where you can relax, unwind and take in the breathtaking vistas. Both terraces are fully furnished with luxurious sofa sets, comfortable loungers, and elegant dining tables, creating inviting spaces for al fresco dining or simply unwinding with loved ones. The seamless indoor-outdoor flow allows you to move effortlessly between the beautifully styled interiors and the expansive open-air terraces, making the most of the peaceful surroundings.
On the lower terrace, you’ll find even more ways to enhance your stay. Sink into the six-seater hot tub, where you can unwind under the stars or enjoy a soothing soak after a day of exploring. If you’re feeling playful, challenge friends and family to a game of table tennis or swing ball, or embrace your competitive side with a round of inflatable Twister, guaranteed to bring plenty of laughter and fun.

The lower terrace has space for everyone, furnished with luxury outdoor furniture including sofas sets, universal fire pit coffee table, loungers and dining table perfect for al fresco dining. There is also table tennis, swing ball and a stunning 6 seater hot tub with a huge freestanding parasol – not to mention magnificent views.
